Stuck in a Rut, over 6 months later
Yes, I'm spamming you, but the previous two posts are probably tmi for most people anyway. No band news or book news or pictures of pretty boys. Not even snow gripes, for the moment. *g*
So, the one more thing I wanted to capture, that doesn't related to the previous two posts is that I discovered another level to that whole "stuck in a rut" thing from last summer. ( Tag for old posts).
Basically, a self-discovery that I have this talent/interest/ability in analyzing group dynamics. Well, I decided comparing and contrasting individuals (who aren't in the same group) tends to pull on the same abilities/emotions/enthusiasm. Got to debating how similar/different two musicians were. I was playing devil's advocate, and talking out of my ass at times (because I only knew one side of the equation with any certainty), yet it sparked that "this is so cool" feeling. Best conversation I've had in weeks.
Face it, guys, we've all been talking at each other a lot lately. I miss long windy conversations where the comments threads start getting narrow, then eventually start collapsing. And I fully admit I've been disengaged lately, as much as anyone else. But I miss you guys, even when we're having superficial contact all the time. It's not the same.
Almost makes you want to stir up drama to get people talking. *evil grin* I'll be good.
Don't know where this burst of enthusiasm/energy is coming from. I'm at about 2 1/2 weeks of blizzard related cabin fever. Although, I finally got a grocery delivery in. The clouds parted and the sun shown down on my little rancher. *g* Then again, I think I hit the caffeine heavy today. So much for sleep. *g*
