Rainy Days
Days like this are wonderful. I love cool, rainy days. If you have nothing to do, you get full reason to cuddle up in bed or on the couch with a book for hours and drink hot cider. If you actually have to mobilize, it's still beautiful. Steam rises from the streets as you're walking, and the sound of rain on my umbrella is one of my favorites ever. Everything glistens. And it's empty. No one is out and about that doesn't have to be. The world almost seems to have a hollow, echoing pulse to it. Plus, the playlist I have going on my iPod is perfectly appropriate.
