So, today is day #1 of week #2 of my new workout and diet program, so I weighed myself yestserday, just to see where I stood. I didn't expect any change, because, well, I've only been at it a week. I was curious, though.
I weighed myself on the sasme scale as my first weigh in, wearing the same clothes, at roughly the same time of day (all things you're supposed to do, apparently), and I've lost 2 pounds! I'm so excited. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I know you're not supposed to lose more than 2 pounds a week, so that makes me feel like this whole thing might actually be worth something. I'm starting to feel capable, grounded, centered again, and that's a feeling that I've really missed. I can do this. It's worth it. And you know, I'm actually kind of starting to enjoy working out. Weird, huh?
I did Moon Salutations last night, and I woke up and did Sun Salutations this morning. Yoga is wonderful. I feel... cleansed.
Life is good.
