I noticed her odd behavior instantly.
Well, at least I thought I did… alright so I’m lying. I didn’t notice until she started to make me food - human food that is - and forced me to taste it. I tried them, to amuse her, which resulted in that smile I loved so much.
She frowned slightly at it, after I finished it completely. It tasted just like spaghetti should taste like, so I wasn’t sure why she wasn’t satisfied with my answer that I loved it. I shrugged it off at first. But then Beth started to become more persistent to make me different kinds of foods. I exclaimed to her that I didn’t need the food, but she wouldn’t listen.
However, I enjoyed each meal, they tasted delightful. I didn’t know Beth was an excellent cook until then. I just wished she wouldn’t put so much garlic on the meals.
It was then I figured out what she was doing, and I asked her about it, but she smiled innocently and said she knew nothing of the sorts.
“But, in any case, can garlic repel vampires?” She asked, gesturing her hand at the garlic bottle.
I laughed, “Would I be alive right now if I was allergic to garlic?”
She blushed, and I smiled down at her. “So the garlic theory is wrong?”
“Yeah, the only vampires who are allergic to garlic are just a rare few.”
“Interesting,” Beth stated her reporter curiosity sparking; her eyes started to dance with excitement. “What about the other famous vampire legends?”
FINISHED.
