Mythology
I'm not sure where everyone stands on folklore, but I personally believe in the idea of anything being possible. I've noticed how some of you liked the tv shows Roswell and BTVS, so you might believe in the possibility as well. I just have one problem with the stories. I've watched many movies about aliens and such, only to see them depicted as

Yes, I think it's possible some are like that since even some of us are that way. But I also think there could be different societies like how we have africans, caucasions, chinese, etc. or how we just have the good and the bad. They could have these sort of groups as well. We are a relatively young species compared to animals and how dinosaurs lived billions of years ago, so it is very possible for other beings to be around. If we are still discovering new species in the animal kingdom, then we can't really say it's impossible for other beings to be around when these newly discovered species have been around all this time without our knowledge.
It is sad how some of the movies are though. Even if they entertained me as a child, I'd still think of it as just a movie because I couldn't imagine all of those beings as behaving in such a manner. Most people don't like some of the friendlier outlooks in movies since they seem "stupid" and like D rate movies, but I loved Harry and the Henderson's (about a sasquatch *bigfoot* a family accidentally hits with their car, then the husband takes him home thinking he's dead to sell him for money. The sasquatch wasn't dead after all and the wife and youngest child befriend him and give him the name Harry, which then causes the husband to change his direction by protecting Harry from a bigfoot hunter. Was amazing to see the switch and heartwarming to see the relationship between Harry and the family). All of the stories about aliens freak me out though. Not because of how people claim they are out to destroy us (even though people claiming they've been abducted obviously got brought back with little or no harm, if those stories are in fact truth), but because of the horror stories about the army having possibly captured and killed some. Sounds cruel when it'd be nice to get to know other beings, since we are a young species. Other beings could know the cure for aids and cancer for all we know. Just wish this society didn't think different means dangerous.
And yeah, those are most of my thoughts. :)
