My thesis project in theatre is going to be a film. I have until March to create my proposal, my plan of action, my budget, and get a damn good screenplay. I have all of next year to film it.

I was really intimidated by this at first. I have no coursework, no professional experience, only a few amateur movies under my belt. But then I remembered Management 101. If I could, with no prior business class experience, direct a feature-length film that made history as one of the best 5 oral report productions in an archive of over 400, I'm probably a damn quick study when I put my mind to it. And I'm going to put my mind to this. I am going to read a shitload of books, I'm going to watch a bunch of independent films, and I'm going to start practicing with some side projects. When next year rolls around, I'm going to invest my heart and soul into that piece, and I'm going to use that as my central bragging point for whatever jobs I want to look into after graduation. I know I can do this.

In unrelated news, "No Exit" next semester is going to be incredible. I can't wait.
