Nanowrimo

I've got an idea for a novel, Nanowrimo style, that I can't wait to run with. I haven't felt this excited about writing in a long time, so I really don't know how long my enthusiasm will stick with me. I do know, though, that I don't have the time in my life, right now, to do an all out, sit down and just write, Nanowrimo style project. And I'm worried that if I don't just sit down and write it, the motivation will wain and the project will go by the wayside before I even get it going. How to deal with that.

My only approach is just to start with research and hope that daily, or frequent, thoughts and inputs on my concept will drive my motivation for the project. Maybe, if I just fill my head with thoughts about the topic, write little scraps when I can, and keep a lot of focus on the idea, I'll have enough, just, stuff to keep me powering through. Writer friends, what do you think?

Also, starting out, answer me this:

What makes a home a home to you? And if where you live now, as an adult is as much of a home as where you grew up, what are the differences? What does your current home lack that your parents' home had?

Thanks, world!
