Well, we went to boise and i picked out some invitations. I was going to make them, like, really make them! i mean make the paper by hand (i've done that before for other projects) but it just seemed like so much trouble since there are so many i wanted to send out... so i bought these sheets of cardstock with a pearlized border, and am going to ( Read more... )

What a great idea! I have been wanting to do something cool online for a while. I would have done this with my wedding, but EVERYONE knows that weddings are silly and meaningless (wink)... Anyway, what a great idea for people who are busier than HELL (who could that be?) to catch up with how the wedding plans are going. I will check up as often as I can. Wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding wedding! Wedding. Wedding Wedding.

Love
Steph

Hey! It's LadyC from PoL! Congrats on the wedding. I just wanted (having just gotten married in December) to give a little advice about the wax seals. They have this irksome tendency to melt or shatter in the mailing process. What I used for my wedding invitations was hot glue. If you have Micheals near you they have silver glittery hot glue that you can use with a seal. Just use pam or something to keep the glue from sticking to the seal and wait 30 seconds or so before applying the seal to give the glue a chance to set a little. It turns out really well. Oh! and to accent the seal I colored it in with a blue sharpy (my colors were blue and white). I just want to save you any heartbreak if your invitations don't come out the way you want them to! I hope I helped a little.

You know, that is actually really helpful, and i appreciate it so much! I just happen to have this tiny hot glue gun, and i had bought this sparkly glue sticks a long time ago for it, but haven't used them. I never would have thought that the wax would mess up, but that makes sense, and i'll definatly use your suggestion! got any more? *lol*
maybe, how to control BOTH sets of parents from freaking out and ruining everything? *lol*
actually, mine's calmed down a bit, after i explained that they were making me crazy, *l* but his are still waaaaay out in left field!
and congrats to you, too! Hey, was the guy someone i know? it's been so long since i've communicated with anyone from pol or anything!!

Breathe. =) That's the first rule. Then remember that it's YOUR day and that you can do anything you please because it's your day not your parents and not your future inlaws. Smile, nod, say yes ma'am, give them some small tasks to do but then contiue merrily on your way doing everything else the way YOU want it done. They think they're helping and you get your way so everyone is happy.
