Theme: Crack!Pairings
Rating: PG-13, at least.

Summary: It's a total soap opera anymore.

She was absolutely stunning. He didn't know Cephiro held anything this lovely.

Eagle and Zazu had come to Cephiro to visit Fuu and invited him along. He'd reluctantly agreed; nothing sickened him more than seeing his commander and kid "brother" falling all over themselves to impress the Wind Knight of Cephiro. Ever since the prince had left her for the Water Knight, Eagle and Zazu had taken it upon themselves to weasel their way into her now-available heart.

The poor Master Mage of Cephiro had been quite a wreck, as far as Geo had heard, not coming out of his room for days. Geo had heard rumors that someone found lamenting poetry under his pillows, but he took that with a grain of salt. The mage hadn't left his quarters for so long that the rest of the castle was getting antsy. The captain of the guard finally went to convince Clef to come out, but then he hadn't come out of the room for days, stirring up all sorts of rumors about the petite mage and the tall, blond swordsman.

Needless to say, the castle was in shambles. Hearing of Fuu's broken heart (and Clef's seemingly mended one), the commander of the NSX began attempts to woo her and fill that void in her soul. She hadn't been very receptive, especially when the young mechanic accompanied his superior. Geo had seen the way Fuu flirted and giggled with the shorter boy, wondering if everyone in Cephiro had some sort of pubescent fetish.

This all put Eagle in a foul mood, meaning he wasn't stopping by Geo's room for "sweets" anymore. And that put Geo in an even fouler mood, watching his commander fawn all over the giggly blonde.

But today... Today he noticed a slender, voluptuous woman sitting alone in the gardens. Her skin glowed bronze in the sunlight, her curly hair an illuminated blush. Her cool blue eyes shone with tears and she scrubbed them away as she heard his footfalls. "Who's there?" she demanded in a heavily accented voice.

"Ah..." Geo felt sheepish for spying on the obviously troubled young woman. "Geo Metro, of Autozam."

"Oh, you trouble-makers."

He flushed, pouting. "I'm not one of those horny losers," he protested as he crossed his arms.

"Hm, aren't you?" She raised a crimson eyebrow. "You're always hanging around with them, arncha?"

"Tch. Not anymore. They've turned into slobbering idiots."

Crossing her legs - her long, long legs - she replied, "I'm Caldina. Lagarga's ex."

"Oh!" He hadn't heard that Lafarga had a significant other before getting involved with the mage. "I'm sorry!"

She waved her hand in his direction, dismissing his sympathy. "Like you said, everyone's turned into slobbering, blockheaded boobs." Did she have to use that term?

"Are you out here alone?" She shot him a dirty look and he stiffened. "I-I meant that you aren't out here with a.. a friend or anything?"

"Does it look like I'm palling around with someone?" She turned her bare shoulder to him and he gulped. "I'm better off alone, y'know."

"Well that's just not true," he heard his mouth say. "You deserve better!" Oops. He bit his tongue.

"Oh?" She glanced over her shoulder. "And I suppose you're the better I'm supposed to deserve, eh?"

"Uh, well, better than someone who's too insensitive to not make out with his new flame in front of his ex."

"You heard about that?..."

"Yeah, well..." He scratched his nose. "Word gets around." He swore she was blushing when he noticed tears in her eyes. "Hey, are you okay, Caldina?" She surprised him when she fell into his arms, sobbing. He stood rigid, unsure of what to do.

After a couple moments, she seemed to realize what she was doing and she jumped back, wiping furiously at her eyes. "Sorry 'bout that," she finally coughed. "Guess I'm more desperate than I thought."

Geo felt slightly insulted but he shrugged it off. "No, it's okay. You're going through a rough time and need a friend."

"I don't even know you, buddy."

"You could get to know me," he suggested boldly, raising thick eyebrows.

Her azure eyes seemed to be searching his for something. She finally smiled and her whole face seemed to light up. "Let's go for a walk, eh, toots? Seems neither of us have anything better to do."
