From bored to awesome in 10 seconds
Yesterday was, at first, just me waiting around for the Rocky Horror Picture Show that night. I was bored and feeling a little awkward around people at the beginning of the day. I decided to swing by campus, and I went to the clusters. I found Alisa and Beverly there... Beverly is a friend of a couple of my friends (including Nataly... why does everyone know Nat?), but we had never really talked before.
This time, though, Beverly finally remembered who I was, and we three went out to Lulu's and just general bumming around Craig St. That was a really good two hours or so... it was also the first real good conversation I'd had with Beverly (I've been getting to talk to Alisa more as of late as well). We split up, and I played a boatload of DDR/ITG before getting some dinner and going to Rocky. Imene ended up not going, since she had to wake up early the next day.
Rocky was quite packed. Nothing overly spectacular, I think, but I had fun. The cast performed quite well, I must say, and they also sold prop bags for $2 apiece (a very good idea for a fundraiser, IMHO). It was a decent crowd to be in, but I felt a little awkward at points, since I think I've been creepy to a cast member at one point.
I came home, deciding not to join the group at Eat 'n Park afterward. It turned out Beverly was on AIM when I got back, and we had a good long talk. I get the feeling we could each use people to whom to vent about life sometimes, and I'm flattered that she was willing to trust me with some things already. I mean this all platonically... Beverly is married, and she's not my kind of romantic interest anyway. I'm just saying this could look to be a good friendship, especially if we run into each other more over the summer.
