So, you know that when the phone rings at six in the morning, it's not going to be good. When it is your sister's ring tone, and your sister is taking care of your elderly parents so that you can go away for the weekend, it's possibly doubly bad. The good news, for relative values of "good", is that it wasn't one of my parents. This next bit gets tricky, but try to keep up. My sister's husband's brother's son (who I guess is my nephew in law?) has been killed in a car crash. Laura has to leave "right now", and I don't blame her, so I call Jeremiah and ask him to get over to Mom and Dad's asap and why, and let him know when I know how long he is going to have to be there. Things are settling down and Laura is glad to be away from the insanity that is he husband's family right now. I understand their pain, and hope I don't ever have to experience it. RIP Ryan Houck.
