Himself is hundreds of miles away. TechNoir is recovering from pneumonia. So naturally, I fell down the stairs this evening. Other than my pride, the most damaged areas are my left knee, which we already know I need a replacement on, and where I had a cortisone injection on July 20th; my left shoulder, also recently injected with cortisone due to ongoing injury problems; my left elbow, which is already starting to turn colours I am unsure of; and of course, my bum. How many times can you break your tailbone before it just falls off?
I couldn't sleep (which is of course what I was planning to do after Samson had his late night constitutional, which is why I was going down the bloody steps to begin with) at first due to the adrenalin, then the pain started kicking in. So I am now up waiting for drugs and alcohol to take effect and let me sleep.
And tomorrow, I have to prepare both lunch and dinner not only for Mum and Dad (which I do every day), but also for my cousin from Texas and her husband. Then I get to come home and entertain my dear friends and former employers from the UK. My house looks like a tornado ran through it, even more than usual. Then Saturday, three of my grandchildren are coming down for the day. Tracey and Antony will be here until the 17th, so I hope to spend a fair amount of time with them. That is, if I can walk.
