BWAH! It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if that is *exactly* what is running through his head.

I'm sure it won't surprise you to know that this news prompted a serious case of underwhelmedness from this litle corner of our Sceptred Isle ;)

Well, my initial reaction was: "oh". And then, "it's about bloody time". I do sort of feel sorry for the boys, though -- but for all we know they might not care much by now.

Basically I think he probably ought to have said sod the whole royal lot of them and married her a long time ago; then there might not be this cloud hanging over them all.

As for the church... well, he's the head of that church, isn't he? Very convenient. Just ask Henry VIII. ;)

I think it's not him so much that there is a problem with under church regulations. She is also divorced, but her ex husband is still living.
