(no subject)
Nothing much to report here. Except that my body aches all over from the weekend, as if I'd been riding horses bareback for days. Which is odd because I have been doing nothing of the sort.
I have been working nonstop including New Year's Eve and Day and even this morning. But am now going to tbe beach to sit and do blissfully nothing. :) (And I don't care how cold it is outside.)
Also, saw A Very Long Engagement (Un Long Dimanche de Fiancailles, I think it was called), a really odd but beautiful film by the same chap who did Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain which starred a lot of the same actors, including most notably the wonderully puckish Audrey Tatou and, best of all, IMO, Jodie Foster who was amazing in a supporting role as a Polish-French woman. And the quality of her French leaves me in awe. A bit like Amelie crossed with Saving Private Ryan -- worth seeing if you have the chance.
