Reaction Post "Listen"

Awful.

I've listened to all the alleged 'critics' who are claiming this was such a great episode and I can't agree.

One of the hallmarks of the best science fiction, is that it is, at its best, both plausible and believeable.  One is able to "suspend disbelief" and immerse oneself in the world of the author's creation for the duration.

YOU CAN'T DO THAT WITH MOFFAT'S DOCTOR WHO!

Doctor Who has always had a specific set of canon rules regarding violations of time travel, paradoxes, etc.  Moffat from the very beginning has violated most of those rules.

The worst example from "Listen" is the trip back to see a "young Doctor" on Gallifery.  In the 50th anniversary special (after breaking the Time Lock to reach Gallifrey) Gallifery was locked away in a pocket universe to protect it.  They could not have reached it without breaking that lock.

Why does Moffat even bother setting these plot lines up if he's going to immediately violate them?  It makes no sense.

Twelve's increasing instability is annoying at best.  His character is dark, chaotic, incoherent and vague.

The only real bright spot has been the further development of Clara.  I would hope that will continue.

Over all, a real disappointment that has me wishing more and more for the return of Ten and Rose.
