Reaction Post - The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang

I don't even know where to start.

The problems with this script.  The obvious paradoxes, scientific impossibilities, the list goes on and on.  Personally I don't think it's worth detailing.  This had to be, by far the worst story so far.  Nothing made sense, nothing was plausible, nothing was logical.

Matt Smith as the Doctor has grown on me.  It took a while, and I sincerely doubt I will ever enjoy his portrayal as much as Christopher Eccleston's, but I believe he has made the role his own and truly become the Doctor.

The best thing to come out of this season has been Rory.  His character is wonderful and I am thrilled to see that he will now be a regular companion.

Amy is still extremely, annoyingly, perfect.  I doubt I will ever warm up to her.

The one thing that has become extremely obvious throughout this season, is Steven Moffat's enormous ego.  He has tried to completely erase everything that came before him and shown no respect for canon or tradition of Classic Who or RTD's Who.  To me, this season has been simply empty; completely devoid of character or story development.  Everything is thrown at us with little explanation or support and we are supposed to suspend belief and accept it at face value.  Gone is the drama and suspense replaced with silly, implausible, grade-C sci-fi.

None of this bodes well for the series as a whole.  If he keeps this up Moffat's narcissism will eventually destory one of the great sci-fi franchises of all time.
