this is the coolest email i have ever gotten from the facebook.
SUBJECT: "Denise R Bennett confirmed you as a friend on Facebook..."
i invited my mom to join said internet site, since she's been on the internets for a while now and she had long ago moved on from the initial constant-email-forwarding that many go through (this is a forward, yes...). i figured it's time to step it up, haha.
what i am curious about the most is how she will fill in her profile (or not).
one interesting thing about social networking sites is that they ask you questions about who you are and what you like. for folks who may not be putting themselves in places where introductions are often and self-description is part of meeting new people, these questions may serve as a big personal insight into how people see themselves. furthermore, i am just wayy curious to know what my mom's favorite movie is, her favorite music right now, her recent photos and status updates, etc. etc.
i feel like this is a crazy internet window into me getting to know my mom as an individual and an adult - haha, amazing!
i am so glad to have my mom as my friend on the internet, haha!
