De-uh?
Ok, maybe I don't understand, or maybe I refuse to understand, I just can't fully comprehend what my Taiwan lit prof is saying.
Half the time I can guess what she's trying to say by translating her bad english back into chinese. At other times it's just like "whuh?"
"(in fob accent) We will look again later when we do section on modern literature. De-uh (that sound that asians make when they pause and think aloud when speaking another language if you know what I mean), just keep your mind."
:0 Ok... I'll keep my mind. Gu uh? XDllll
And when she's thinking aloud, her endlessly repeating "deuh deuh deuh...deuh (continues on topic)" makes me feel like I'm watching some sort of suspense movie, like I'm sitting at the end of my seat thinking "OMG, what's gonna happen!? What's she going to say!?" except for the fact that... it's not exciting? I make no sense.
