New York, New York
Have you ever driven to New York just for the hell of it when you knew you only had exactly an hour left to be back at home? I did, just last night. Everyone warned me about my car saying it would not drive on the interstate, well I put that to the test last night. It started out when my friend and I were going out to look for a good restaraunt to eat at around eight o'clock Sunday evening. We drove up the Post Road through Orange, West Haven, and New Haven. Than we ot on Derby Ave. and drove through WH, Orange, NH, Derby, and Ansonia where I saw a Milford Police car, it was weired, but anyway, we get on route 8 accidentally, we get off that and onto the parkway, not accidantally. I follow the parkway to New York, because I just wanted to. We get into New York, get off the third exit, drive through the center of town, park the car in a bad section of town, get out and walk around for a few minutes, get back in the car, got a warning from the Poughkeepsie police department for the stripes on my car, I guess they're illegal in New York or something, get lost in White Plains for an hour, get lost in Rye and New Rochelle for a while too. We called for help from a good friend of ours, Kim, thank you for staying on the phone with us for two hours of hell while we screamed at you and you were stuck online looking for directions for us, and than finally, in Rye, just as we found our way home I stopped for food, it was so much fun. I was actually headed for the City, but my friend had to be home by ten thirty. So we get on the highway in New Rochelle at about ten fifty five, we head home and we are back in Milford by eleven thirty. Wow, it took everyone else I knew two hours to get to New York when it only took me a good thirty eight minutes. My car kicks ass to all those who don't think so! We stopped at the Wendy's on BPT Ave in Milf on the way home too. I walked in the door at exactly twelve o'clock. Not bad for three and a half hours huh? Perfect timing ah? We thought it was. Next week is New Jersey, anyone interested in going with me? Sunday December 12, 2004 at eight PM. You want to go? Just kidding, I'm not that messed up, maybe NYC, but that's the furthest until I get my brand new truck!
