Is this common on your server?

I have no idea, really. I did all the quests in icecrown as resto and wasn't camped once. That might just be the zone, though.

Yeah the camping sucks but I was more refering to the guys comment below that. "This is Horde, we don't help any one unless it benefits us".

That seems to be the prvailing attitude on my server. Most of the people are titanic jerks. I was in a zone with over 30 people earlyer looking for somewhere and when I asked for help several times not one person bothered to respond. When I asked why out of the 35 people in the zone no one had answered I was told "they probabaly just don't want to be bothered with helping you." Is it just my server or is almost every one playing WoW turning into selfish jerks who can't be bothered to lift a finger to help some one out when they need it unless they are paying for it?

Whenever I see some one needing help I always try to help. I can't always succeed but at least I try. Most people think its funny when some poor helpless lvl 30 is being camped by a group of 3 lvl 80 DKs and is asking for help. I might get my ass kicked in but I at least make the attempt. I certainly don't think its funny when some one griefs a low level charicter so much that they are forced to log off till they get bored and wander off to bully someone else.

Is that how it is everywhere? Am I just an idealist? I want to play the game and not have it be an every man for him self kind of deal. It didn't used to be this way. When I first started playing more people acted the way I did. If someone needed help they helped. If some one was lost they gave directions. Now its just a bunch of callus dickheads playing the game. On my server at least.

I'm wondering if I need to switch servers or just cancil my acct and find a new game.
