I got to do something today that I've kinda always wanted to do - I got to call 911. Unfortunately, it was because my grandma woke up having trouble breathing, so I called an ambulance. They came in about 10 minutes, and they were the rudest fuckers ever. One time when my grandma was sick, my mom got extra pills of her prescription from her hospital, and when the guy asked what they were, he actually told my mom that the prescription wouldn't be effective unless it was finished. Not to be childish or anything, but OH NO YOU DIDN'T! If all elderly people were taken care of as well as my mom takes care of my grandma, their lives would be extended at least 7 years. I know this because my grandmother was supposed to be dead 7 years ago from her kidney problems, but because my mom handles her medicine, her diet, and watches over her 24/7 whenever she's in the hospital, she's alive and kicking. Well, not so much kicking, but she's doing 100 times better than she should be. I wanted to smack that asshole. He looked like he was my age - I wanted to say to him, "Um, my mom was an accomplished RN while your mom was still wiping your ass for you!" Plus they were very short with my sick, 4'10, 92 year old grandma. I should have called Bravo, at least then there would have been a chance that I would have known who the EMTs were and they would have been a lot nicer, and probably better.
