"I'm glad you're back," Tony whispered as he looked at a sleeping Bruce next to him. The man had been on the run for the past year and every day, Tony had been worried. Bruce was back, for now, and Tony had flown to Gotham immediately when he knew.
Watching the sleeping man next to him, Tony blinked and took in all the new scars and bruises that littered the body of his lover. He traced the scars with his calloused fingers and sighed, he knew that getting scars was part of the entire 'being a superhero' thing but that didn't mean he had to like it. Especially not the most recent one on Bruce's shoulders where it was still very clear that it had been caused by a bullet. Tony could only hope it wasn't an illegal Stark weapon that had caused this damage.
