1. At what point did you discover your interest in writing?
...I was in 5th grade and I wrote a baby sitters club type story about the play my school was performing. I haven't really stopped since.
2. Do you have a fellow writer whose work inspires you?
None that I know personally, but basically everything I ever read inspires me.
3. What is your favorite genre to write?
i have always only written general fiction. Realistic conflicts with young people. But Ive been trying to expand myself the past few years with the thing Im working on.
4. Have you ever written tragedy? If so, did writing it shake you up emotionally?
I was going through a majorly rough time already, that's what caused the tragedy.
5. What do you think is your biggest strength in your writing?
Dialogue.
6. What part of writing do you still need to improve at?
bridging the gap between reflection on time and things to going back to the day to day life. Like what I mean is sometimes you have to be like "Weeks passed and they still hadn't found Benny...." blah blah blah.
7. How many unfinished projects do you have at this point? Planning to finish any of them soon?
Besides what my main project that I've been working on for the past few years, I have one other story thats finished being wrote but has never been typed that I would love to work on. But that's the emotional one so Im not sure. I have tons of things from over the years that are just finished stories sittin around.
8. Ever used a dream as a base for a story? If so, was it a success, or a flop?
never happened. i had a spooky dream that inspired me and made me realize my brain was capable of those types of scenes.
9. Do you plan a story from beginning to end before writing it, or do you just haphazardly start writing one and add up from there, hoping the plot goes somewhere good? If the latter, do you tend to get stuck often?
I have some things planned. Some major plot lines, what happens to certain major characters. But I have major holes that I let myself figure out while I go along too.
10. What are some of the most common themes/topics in your stories?
Death, depression, struggle, social class systems regarding money and statues, discrimination, friendship, war.
11. Is there something you could write about nonstop?
hahah death or depression woo.
12. On the contrary; What parts of writing a story do you hate?
I hate getting prompts or being forced to write about a certain topic. but if i didn't like writing about it it's not going to show up in my work.
13. How many words can you write in a day if you are at your best?
at my best basically infinite? theres no possible way to tell that. sometimes i write non stop for four hours barely noticing time and it could be 18 pages. some days im doing good i only write like 5.
14. Are you a fan of writing short prompts?
boom. no lol.
15. Ever written something really weird/awkward?
always.
18. If you are not working on a project at this moment, how do you keep your writing skills from "getting rusty"? Or do you prefer to just rest?
a few days off is always needed
19. What may revive your motivation after a long writing block?
short little vignettes or poems. or ill take a walk and listen to loud music to turn off my mind.
20. Can music help you write? If yes, what is your favorite type of playlist to listen to while writing?
i just put it on shuffle
21. Are special scents an incentive to writing for you? If so, what scents?
maybe?
22. Do you have any favorite stories or books, and why?
is that a serious question?
