It's been a while since I've really written anything. I had a week of vacation from school. Amy, my good friend from college (and my maid of honor) came to visit. It was good to see her, and we had a fun visit.
The wedding remains a work in progress. I'm waiting on new envelopes to arrive so I can send out the first wave of invitations. Arranging the guest list is difficult. The chapel only seats 60, and we have a lot of family. I also have to figure out some food issues for the reception. I finally have the per plate dinner price, but I have to decide about appetizers and the toast. I've been considering a sparkling grape juice toast--but it will cost around $250. I've already ruled out the champagne because a) it is much too expensive b)I do not drink anyhow and c) Wil does not want to spend money on alcohol either.
School is going OK. I've a had few major discpline incidents recently that have been disappointing. I'm definitely getting the "It's hurting me more than you." line my parents gave me as a kid. It's hard when a kid you like acts up in a big way, you have to displine them, and they are mad at you. I'm counting as practice for parenting. However, we are down to 7 weeks of the school year left. The seniors will be finished in 3 weeks. Although I will miss them, I'm going to enjoy the reduction in grading.
The final piece is our upcoming move. I'm super excited about our new bigger, nicer apartment. I can hardly wait to move. I don't want to think about packing. Fortunately, Wil's sister Julie along with Carson and Robin are going to come help with the packing. I am very grateful for that. I've been planning to hire pros to move the heavy pieces, but the packing part always overwhelms me. I wanted to start this weekend, but I have a cold and Wil is out about town--so I don't think much is going to get done.
Maybe I can call some movers today.
