Inauguration Imminent
So Barack Obama becomes the president soon and I am wracked by fits of manic laughter.
They say this was a(n) historic election, but that means that it keeps drawing my mind back to history. It all reminds me that such an absurd thing as race DOES matter to so many people and it reminds me of how little we've ever known about the world. Humanity is basically the silliest exercise in misunderstanding that I can imagine. But that's beautiful.
