the great thing about the party shuffle feature is that i'm hearing music i haven't heard before, or haven't heard in a long time.  right now, soundgarden's "fresh tendrils" is the current party song.  i don't remember when i last listened to soundgarden.   i still like this song.

day 3 of my seclusion.  i woke up today and still felt pretty crappy.  erin and my mom have convinced me to call the allergist, so i'll do that when they open at 9 and see if i can get in sometime today.  that seems doubtful, but i'll give it a whirl anyway.  if anything, maybe i can make an appointment for next week.  i honestly don't mind being holed up; i could probably get used to it.  bethany told me once in a rare serious moment of honesty that she thought i could go off and live in a cave and be perfectly happy.  not exactly, but i think i understood her point.

i opened the blinds by my desk so i can watch the parking lot over the laptop screen.  not much going on out there at the moment......some kids walked down to the bus a few minutes ago.

i was going to take a bath last night and read while i lounged in the tub, but then i realized the tub was kind of gross.  so i cleaned it instead.  this was oddly therapeutic and i felt halfway decent when i finally went to bed an hour or two later.

ooh!  erykah badu!  i haven't listened to her in a long time either.

i watched hamburger hill last night.  (erin dropped it off for me after work----reason #31287 she's pretty awesome.)  i liked it but it lacked a lot of significant character development.  it gets me to thinking about that time period, about our situation now, and war in general.  i'm not going to post any of those thoughts here but it did make me think.

have a good weekend.
