living the dream

since i always seem to be listening to the cure when i write lately, i intentionally switched out.  you're welcome.
in my defense, however, i'm just really getting prepped for their concert in chicago next month.

today at the dentist, i had some time to examine my new toothbrush.  it's called the Compact 35 or something very similar.  i'm positive on those two parts, though.  what does the 35 part stand for?  i thought maybe that was the number of bristles but that can't be it:  there were 33 bristles.  i know because i counted.  so what's up with that, oral-b?

one of my cube neighbors told me today that her husband often responds to the question "how are you?" with "i'm just living the dream."  this struck me as pretty funny so i started working it into today's vernacular.  and you know what?  it gets a laugh just about everytime.  i'm keeping this one.

vacation was good.  seeing everyone is always nice and it was even more fun to have erin with me.  she left on tuesday and i came back on wednesday with amy.  we listened to an audio book on the way home and i half listened, but mostly just stared out the window and wished i could've stayed longer.

blade and i went to oxford on thursday, which was fun despite the fact that lots o' students were moving in.  in the past, visiting those old halls and academic buildings have produced an unsettling, depressing sort of feeling.  there were moments of that this time around, but not the way i would've expected.  maybe those past ghosts are finally fading into the background.  we ended up at ted's apartment for a shit storm of a movie called "masked and anonymous."  my first ever movie night and i think some even appreciated some of my sarcasm.

now i'm going to biggs.
