Life Stuffs

So it's all going to be cut, and nobody has to read it. i'm just bored and feel like telling people about dead goannas and roundabouts in the middle of nowhere.

I went to Wagga Wagga on Monday and Tuesday, just to check it out, since I think the last time I was there, I was only very little because I cannot remember it. Anyway, my conclusions after 24 hours in the city are:
  • I'm going to get lost. Alot.
  • I'm not going to have to go out of my way to exercise, because walking around the university grounds will be execise enough.
  • I'm not going to need to do much driving, because there are bus stops everywhere. Yay for public transport (it doesn't exist here, except for taxis).
  • I know where the book shop is, so I'm set.
  • The two shopping centres are close to each other (i.e. right across the road from each other) so if I manage to find one while wandering, I'm all good for shopping.
  • I'm gonna be good for food, because there's a La Porschetta there (Italian chain restaurant that actually has real food). And they do icecream! XD
  • If I have to try and park, I'm probably going to have a panic attack.
Other random observations include:

For some reason, there is a roundabout in the middle of nowhere between Griffith and Hillston. It's not near any towns. It's not even near any silos. It's just there, apparently just because it can be.

Apparently Griffith was designed by the same man who designed Canberra. I can't see the resemblance myself...

Also, during the return trip, Dad killed a goanna and two birds by running over them. As often happens out here, it's just some more roadkill. except the signposted warnings werre only for kangaroos, and we didn't see even one of the buggers. Probably because it wasn't dusk/night/dawn, which is when they're usually out. thank god, rally, because they do all sorts of nasty damage to cars. Last time we hit one, it ruined the driver side headlight, knocked out the wheel alignment, stuffed up the steering and ruined the front bumper. Then it had the gall to get up and hop away. Grr.

Even more randomly - I got a new iPod nano for Christmas and didn't even ask for it. And it has a video camera and 8G of memory. I am extremely happy with this, and love my parents very muchly for it. :D Especially since my old one was one of the 1st gen nanos, and my iTunes hasn't been reading it for about three months now.

I really need to get to work on the challenge zomgitsalaura proposed, too. My New Year's Resolution will be to get it written tomorrow. :D

Party hard people; tomorrow's a new year!

life, meh, holidays!, rambly
