I am new and absolutely adore MJ. He was simply gorgeous and I want to remember as the beautiful person he was, not as the 'freak' the media claimed he was. In recent years, I had dismissed all things Michael Jackson. The attention from the media was just too chaotic and I fell back to the sidelines and looked away. Now, in his death, I feel as if I let him down. Honestly, I couldn't have helped him...but it still makes me wonder daily. I know many people detest those whose eyes were opened after his death, but please understand that the feeling is a horrible one. I have always admired his unique voice, beautiful face, creative dance moves, and superb fashion sense. I am an avid 80s fan and MJ is the ultimate in retro goodness. As he aged, he still had that magic.
I never listened to the media, but they were screaming so loud that I just turned off the station that was Michael Jackson. I didn't want to hear anything, good or bad. Now he's gone and that is it. None of us will ever meet him, ever speak with him, anything. It rather saddens me, honestly. He was a wonderful man and his life will never be forgotten.
I have made some icons of MJ, which I will post below the cut. It felt good to look at old pictures, he looked so happy back then. At least not so beaten down. So sad that his life had to end so suddenly. He was truly an angel.
