No Final Word Yet on Michael Jackson Burial

Aug 11, 2009 17:27

However, this is what I read on Wikipedia and I quote, "They have just announced that Michael was buried at Forest Lawn in a unmarked grave near his grandmother, Martha Bridges, because they fear that fans will destroy and/or deface his grave," un-quote ( Read more... )

I'm offended that they think a FAN would deface or destroy his grave, wtf?

Also...Im bothered if he hasn't been buried yet...no one should be above the ground for this long, seems peaceless and inappropriate :/

I think their either mean a fan would write things like "I LOVE YOU" etc., or some jerk (who obviously wouldn't be a fan) would write horrible things on his grave.

Yeah, I hear ya. But you never know with some fans. I'm not saying that many M. J. fans are like that, on the contrary. But again... you just never know what some fans are capable of and that's the sad truth, unfortunately. :-(

I totally agree. His body should be buried soon if it hasn't been already.

I just wish I knew, like many other fans, which statement is the truth. Is he buried like Wikipedia states or is he not yet buried like Yahoo! states? They've just confused me.

I would be happy to know if they buried him, even though it makes it final. If he's not buried, he should be buried right away.

Whichever statement is correct, I just hope things get settled soon. I know he's at peace, but he needs to be at total peace if you know what I mean. *sighs* :-(

You make excellent and very true points.

But you never know what some fans are capable of. I'm not saying that all M. J. fans will do something like this. But again... you never know with some fans. Although, I probably shouldn't talk because I have only been a fan for a month and a half. Thus, I'm sure any Michael fan, including me, will respect his final resting place.

I do agree that non-Michael Jackson fans, like people that didn't like and/or hated him, will probably try to do something cruel and disrespectful to his grave. You never know what these kind of people are capable of. :-(

I just hope and pray that NO ONE--fan and non-fan--would do something so cruel and disrespectful at all!

we love him for sure but there are ones who still talk shit bout him so i wont be surprice if someone make damages on it so i think its ok not to tell where or which is the real grave, for respect...

Well said! ^_^

but i'd love to have some kinda grave, mausoleum, sculpture or something where fans could go and you know pray, leave ( ... )

Yeah, I know those kinds of people. I have had the misfortune of dealing with many hypocritical people. I really despise them as they just disgust me. I do my best to just stay away from them.

so i do believe that knowing the place of the original grave will be a problem

And yes, you are right. Like I mentioned in the other comment, you really never know what these kind of people are capable of. Seriously. :-(

i hope the family to leave a place for us, an MJ 'meca' maybe xP

Hahaha... that would be really nice. And I agree; it would be really lovely if the family could have a place like that so we could honor, celebrate, and pay our respects to him. ^_^

I know it's bad to read tabloids/gossip stuff, but I check perezhilton every day and practically ALL of his stuff is legit, unless he comes back and says it was fake. He has reliable sources, and on there this morning I read he was burried at the forest lawn place beside his grandmother.

Honestly, I kind of hope it's true. To me the most important thing is that his family, his kids, can visit his grave in peace... If the grave is in a public place, that couldn't really happen, could it?

You make an excellent and very true point.

You're right. The family should get to visit him and his grave in peace. He was more special and dear to them than to everyone else. Oh, he was special and dear to everyone that loved him, of course, but his family knew him personally and better than everyone else.

If that's what the family decides and if that will be their final decision, I will support them. I will support them in whatever they decide to do.

At the same time, I would personally love to visit his grave and pay my respects as one of his many fans. I think all of his fans would love to be able to do that.

Of course, the ultimate decision will rest with the family. And again, whatever they decide to do--if they haven't decided already--I will support them 100%.

Yeah, that is what Wikipedia states and I put that statement in the post. But Yahoo! states that he hasn't been buried yet. I'm just conflicted and confused because I wish I knew, like everyone else, which statement is true.

I mean, if he's already buried beside his grandmother, then I will accept that and be happy because his body has been finally laid to rest, even though it makes everything final.

I don't know which statement to believe, though. And I can understand why none of his family members or family representatives haven't either confirmed or denied these reports.

I just wish things could be settled soon. If he's buried already, again I will accept it. But if he's not, I hope that he will be soon.

I think it is very sad that they still haven't buried Michael...I personally wish that he could get buried at Neverland, but if it's not possible or if his mom decides differently, they should bury him in a different place soon. I think Michael's body so much deserves some peace now, after all those awful autopsies. He should get laid to rest as soon as possible.
I also think that the fans would honor his grave, not deface it, why would these reporters write things like this? Weird.

I know what you mean. If they haven't buried him yet, they need to really soon.

I think Michael's body so much deserves some peace now, after all those awful autopsies.

Perfectly said. I feel the exact same way.

I personally hope that he should be buried at Neverland, too. However, if that is not possible, then I hope the family can find a worthy place for him to be buried at.

I'm just conflicted because Wikipedia states he's already buried, yet Yahoo! states he hasn't been buried. I wish I knew which statement is correct. I don't know what to make of these statements and articles. I'm so conflicted right now. I feel like crying. I wish people would just print the truth about Michael--and other people in general--and stop printing rumors and lies. But I realize that's never going to happen with the society we have, of course.

Oh bless you & I agree.
