The Perfect Start To My Day...
Okay, so, I'm in the marching band at my school. This year our show has the theme of Motown music because it's Motown's 50th anniversary. Before your minds get carried away, no, we sadly are not doing any Jackson 5 or Michael songs. However, I was originally happy that maybe our band shirts this year would say Motown 50 because of the whole whole Motown 25/Billie Jean connection.
Anyways! Like I said we have band t-shirts and the people in our band get to make the designs then we vote on what we like best for the front and back of the shirt. This morning was the voting and pretty much all of the designs had either a jukebox, records/record players, old school microphones, and one of them even had Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie on it since we're playing some of their songs. So some girl in our band made one that had Michael on it. It was beautiful and I got so excited, you have no idea! But I knew that overall it wasn't my #1 choice because we don't play any Michael songs so it'd be a bit odd if we had him on our shirts you know? It was my #2 choice though. Haha. So it turns out the top 2 choices were one that had one of those old mircrophones and then the Michael one. And surprisingly, the Michael one won!!! Overall, I'm really excited that for my senior year I'm going to have Michael on my shirt!!!!! =] Haha. I mean, I guess I'm a little confused because like I said, we don't play any Michael songs so to have him on our shirts is a bit... we're going to be "that band." Haha. But overall, I really don't care because I'm going to be wearing Michael!!!!!!! I'll have to take a picture of it for you guys once they're made. =]
