This stone was once flesh to me,
Eyes sparkling brighter than the sun.
These hands were once warm to me,
Capable of releasing fear with one stroke.
I once knew that this was an eternal connection.
I once knew many things I do not now.
This statue once lifted me,
So high I could touch the gods.
No man was meant to see such things.
My eyes once burned now grow cold.
All that is left is this statue here,
All this is left are my screams to the night.
I once knew warmth in a cold embrace.
I once knew joy in tears collected as sobs.
This vision was not meant for me,
No man was meant to be a god
I have died a hundred times over,
Yet no end has ever been found.
Just one more day beneath this shadow,
That once held me up to the light.
One more day beneath the stone that once,
Gave me shade from the moon's heat.
One more day to pound at the cold hard soul,
Of this statue the once loved me.
