I am a Ref!
Today marks the start of the new soccer season. Yay. I don't make very much, just $8 a game, but it's better than nothing. My dad wants me to get a "real" job (well, so do I!) but not a lot of people are willing to hire me until I can tell them what dates I will be out for my jaw surgery. So it's not like I haven't been looking.
But it was a pretty good way to start the season. No one yelled, no one got up in my face, no one questioned my authority. So, that's always a good sign. (Of course, I think they're afraid to do that because I asked my supervisor to find a replacement for two of the coaches last year (they were on the same team). It takes a lot for me to do that, but I felt that the way they continually spoke to me at the games was uncalled for and they really didn't know what they were doing. Parents weren't getting their money's worth. Long story.)
Anyway, I'm tired. I'm gonna go make myself a plate of nachoes and sit my butt down in front of the television. I'm gonna get fat. I hear it's "in" this season. (REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES!!)
