So. Yesterday.
David A. Melgar helped me paint my room "Emerald Isle." I'm basically in love with my walls now. I will probably never leave my room again. Except to eat cake and watch October Sky.
Caitlyn and I will be working on another one of our infamous love poems today. If you guys aren't up to anything fifth period, come on down to Corbie's and we'll be performing. No cover charge.
I was sitting on a swing yesterday and I looked at the sky upside down. There was this tiny little golden patch of light that was just peaking out from behind this really gorgeously dark blue sky. It only looked good upside down. So I turned to my swing mate and said, "Okay, you're going to flip upside down...and look at that little patch of light riiight there." Few people react correctly to things like that. People who do make my day.
Also, from the files of Holden Caulfield:
Talking about the museum in the park...
"It always smelled like it was raining outside, even if it wasnt, and you were in the only nice, dry, cosy place in the world. I loved that damn museum."
Comparable to that whole discription of Scout in the ham costume in To Kill a Mockingbird.
