I posted my taxes today. As a reward I had two Cadbury eggs, a subway sandwich and four hours of West Wing watching.
See, taxes are a pain in the ass for me every year because I earn foreign income. They're a pain in the ass for everyone, I know, but you don't have to declare your income and the UNDECLARE it because it's excluded as a miscellaneous income or something. It makes my taxes look really weird. I owe negative amounts of money, but that doesn't mean I get a rebate or anything. It's really weird.
Anyway, as some of you youngin's are going to graduate soon I thought I might tell you about TurboTax which is an online program that hand-holds you through filling in your taxes. I'd definitely recommend you use it at least the first year you get a job, it'll be nice to you and it's pretty cheap as opposed to begging some obscure relative to do your taxes for you.
Well, that's me done being mommy.
I have an opera mystery and it's driving me crazy. I didn't and still don't really like opera. My dad made me listen to it every Sunday if we drove some where in the car. It drove me crazy! I just wanted to listen to motown or something, but no.
However, a few weeks ago I was listening to the classical station and I heard these two men doing a duet (is it a duet in opear? I don't know the vocabulary). Anyway, it was from an opera starting wit h an N which is a lesser known opera of some famous composer. The opera is about two men in love with a woman, the woman chooses one man and the other man sacrifices himself so they can be together. That's it. That's all I know and it's driving me nuts! Why the heck didn't I pay attention to the DJ?
I don't expect anyone to solve it for me, I just needed to bitch about it.
West Wing is awesome. I feel bad I missed out on it when it was running, but it's nice to just whack in disk after disk and not wait till next season to find out what happens.
Dianne, I'll send you crunchies! I'm sorry I've slacked on sending. My sister wants kosher skittles. How crazy is that?
