Top Ten Countdown of Why Trueblood is Better than Twilight (haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse Series yet, but I'm willing to bet most of these following also will apply)
10. Bon Temps, Louisiana verses Forks, Washington .... enough said.
9. No one is having any vampire babies and naming them after their mother and mother-in-law.
8. Vampire blood=the new male viagra.
7. At no time will you feel completely safe around any of these vampires.
6. There is nothing asexual about the Bill or any of the other vampires.
5. There is no waiting till marriage. There is masturbation and there is sex, lots of it.
4. The vampires don't sparkle, in fact they are rather dirty in all sense of the word, just like they should be.
3. Sookie saves vampire Bill's ass.
2. Sookie will not be sacrificing her soul or in other words DYING to be with a man.
And the number one reason is......
1. Bella is weak, whiny, and dull. Sookie is witty, strong and doesn't take any shit when Bill (or any vampire) steps out of line.
Additional reasons I am now addicted to the TV show....the theme song and opening credits are cool, Bill's theme music is perfect, southern accents (specifically Rene's Creole accent) are yummy, and Sookie's brother is dirty and nasty but oh so fun to watch.
For those who watch the show...I am perplexed by Sam. I was pretty convinced he was the dog as well (with the barking in his sleep and dog images) which I just confirmed by reading wikipedia but I'm also more than 50% convinced he's the murderer. I'm only on episode 4 so we shall see what happens next.
Edited Update: I've watched up to epidsode 9 and no longer think Sam is the killer--leaning more towards the guy all messed up from the war, but really I'm open to it being just about anyone. I'm really liking Sam a little more now even though I do find his watching her as a dog thing kind of creepy and a little like Edward's creepy stalking of Bella.
Also I have to say....best sex scene ever in epidsode 8. Go watch, then rewind and watch it again.
