See, I was born in like '84
She was born in like '83
I was like her cherie amour,
And she was more like my sheila e
Never could take off my cool
To show her what she deserved to see
Love music more than her
and that's why she deserted me
And the day she was moving on
She said things changed and her love was gone
I'm like how? I'm the same old Sean
She said, that's the problem,
You're the same old Sean
And she was right
One year went by
She called me with tears in her eyes
The day that she married the perfect guy
And I'm like
Damn, there I go again
Every time they love me
I break 'em in the end
Nothing I can do about it
So let's not pretend
We both know I'll always be
Heartbreak Scorsese
I'll Never Change x 9
Until the day that I die
No I'll always be this way
I remember Buchanan High
Man we were so on it
Jack moves to my heart's content
Not because we need it, because we want it
We'd rock the freshness of it
Then we'd go hit the store
Until that Pelco lens brought flashing lights
To my front door
And now she's screaming
And now she's crying
Cuz I've been scheming, and I've been lying
And I know that I failed you now
Yeah I know that I did you wrong
But please get the cash come bail me out
Because I'm sorry, Mom
Damn, there I go again
Every time they love me
I break 'em in the end
Nothing I can do about it
So let's not pretend
We both know I'll always be
Heartbreak Scorsese
I'll Never Change x 9
Until the day that I die
No I'll always be this way
explaination of the song by Snob Scrilla (via blog):
hey guys!!! ok so lemme explain...
what I meant by saying Heartbreak Scorsese is I have a knack for creating this huge devastating heartbreak situations out of nowhere.
Scorsese is a ref to Martin Scorsese being a brilliant director
in the same way that Martin Scorsese can direct and create this gorgeous piece of cinema mastery...in the same way I craft and direct and orchestrate a huge overwhelming heartbreak.
get me? hope that clears it up yall...thanks for the love guys!!!!!!
Snob Scrilla is so brilliant. Born in America but based in Sydney, his music is a mix of life triumphs (& failures) and political issues. His songs are so emotion-filled, & so relatable. I saw & met him at Parklife & I was just so amazed. I have a photo with him &so I pretty much think I'm the coolest, ha. I love him & his music so much, I just had to post these lyrics to his awesome new song. You Tube it, download it, buy the Cd. Get this on your ipod, stat.
