So being the spontaneous character that I am. A couple of friends and I decided we would take weekend road trip to NY. And let me tell you, I had the best fucking time I've had in a long, long while. Please see more photos on my flickr account or click the link to finish reading about my time.
It started out with Cassi, Scott, Manuel and myself. We drove to Morrisville, PA friday night. There we met up with one of my many random myspace friends named Dan P. Dan being the lovely gentleman that he is offered us a place to stay without even ever having met us. He was very welcoming and we stayed up all night looking at photos of India and talking about our travels.
The following morning we woke up and finished our short drive to NY. First stop?
Red Bamboo. Of course it was just amazing. We ordered several plates and shared them like the big family we are. We also met up with one of my friends from high school named Tiffany. Look at the delicious food we had!
After Red Bamboo we ventured off to China town where we stopped at a candy store and bought some MORE food. We parted ways with Tiffany and headed back to the car to drive to a show.
We had plans to stay with a friend of ours in Brooklyn. Well he let us know about a show that he was playing so we stopped by to see what it was all about. We did some pre gaming at a bar nearby and headed to the show which was awesome because it was filled with smelly punk kids :)
After the show we decided that we wanted to be glutons and eat again so we headed to
Food Swings for some fast food crap. We then headed over to find some booze for the boys before we set out to see Time Square at night. We walked around, passed out some leaflets, and just had an overall blast.
Afterwards we headed back to Brooklyn to stay at the loft. We stayed with a bunch of boys in their loft. All vegan, edge, cyclist, anarchist type kids. Absolutely loved it and I really feel like I was at home there. Reevealuated my life as it is and the life I want. I had a change of heart and I feel now that I know the path I want to lead. Moving here and getting married my have side tracked me some what from my previous plans but now I know what is true in my heart and I owe it all to this small collective in Brooklyn :) Right now = pure happiness.
When we awoke the next morning we rode bikes to the grocer and stocked up on cereal and milk for the whole house. How lovely a time. We then set out to our car only to find that someone had busted my window and taken an ipod booo!
After calling the cops and settling everything we went to find lunch. What better place than
WILD GINGER! Check out our tasty treats!
After lunch we purused some shops and drove around a lot. We made sure we saw the skyline during the day and could see the Staue of Liberty before heading home.
Overall, this was the best weekend I've had in AGES!
