Should auld acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind

In the spring of 2002, I started this blog. I was in my first senior year of college, and wanted a way to record my thoughts and feelings. To be completely honest, I had truly been inspired to start by the 9/11 attacks. While reading other people's blog entries from that day, I found myself wishing I had had an outlet like that. I know how you feel. Which is too bad, since LJ spawned many friendships and food times for me. Facebook is good for people you know in person and want to keep in touch with, but it isn't good for in depth conversations or getting to know someone.

I don't know if I have old posts from high school I cringe at, but there are some I roll my eyes at. I had an inflated sense of self-importance, which is a little odd since I was still dealing with depression/anxiety/insecurity.
