Up tooo late again
So last week while trying to catch up on reading about the adoption ban I came across a newspaper article about a family in MN some southern area you hardly ever hear of that brought their daughter home in January after the ban took place because their court date had occurred before the ban. I kept reading and got to the photo and blurb and thought that Dr. V looks just like the one from Nastia's baby home, but I couldn't be sure because of the angle. Even though the background was different the faint outline of a tea set on a tray looked familiar, reddish orange poppies on it and the curtains were new, but then they were replacing the windows when we were there so that still made it plausible.
So low and behold there is another little girl from the same baby home now living in MN and it appears they lived in the same group for some of that time. She looks vaguely familiar but I'm not able to access my photos to see if I have one of her in the bunch.
The family seems nice enough but not like people we are likely to have anything else in common with from looking at their facebook pages. But I took the risk and contacted them anyway. When you think about the number of kids who get adopted it's neat and strange to think that they end up in close proximity to one another.
