A/N: Its just a little drabble, I was thinking about it while I was stuck in traffic during my driving lesson yesturday.
Oh, I'm thinking about making a prompt table, can anyone give me some ideas and I'll write them up =]
“We’re stuck.” Jack stated bluntly.
He and Ianto had been stuck in the SUV, in a traffic jam, in the middle of the bridge leading back to the Hub. What made things worse was that there was a sedated Weevil in the back which will no doubt be waking up anytime soon if they didn’t get back in the Hub in time.
“It would seem that way, sir,” Ianto spoke dryly, looking through the tinted windows either side of them, “can’t we flash the blue lights? Get them to move?”
Jack looked across at Ianto, “We’re on a bridge, where would they go?”
“Well we could just push them along a bit; I’m bored of the view.” Ianto was looking out the window to a red Ford Focus with a little boy who kept poking his tongue out even though he couldn’t see Ianto; he seemed to know Ianto was getting flustered by it.
Jack undid his seatbelt and turned to face Ianto and then looked out the window, “Didn’t you ever do that?”
Ianto shook his head, “I never would have done such a thing.”
“Do you wana give him a scare?” Jack flashed a cheeky grin and reached for his Webley. He unclipped the gun from its holster then pushed the button wind the passenger window down.
The child watched as the window began to slow reveal the two men, Jack leaned past Ianto and motioned for the boy to wind down his window with his free hand, the boy did so and looked back at Jack.
“Hi there,” Jack waved, “yeah, could you please stop disturbing us, we are very important people and that tongue of yours is disrespectful, if you continue to do so to our window,” Jack revealed his gun, “then I may just have to use this.” He smiled and put away his Webley.
The boy sat in the opposite with his mouth wide open, “Yes sir,” he managed to splutter before winding his window back up, the two men in the SUV watched as he moved to the front of the Ford and started at his mother about what just happened.
His mother turned and wound down her own window, Jack once again leaned forward and gave his most dashing smile, Ianto’s heart slightly melted, that smile he thought.
“Is there a problem ma’am? Captain Jack Harkness, by the way” Jack gave a wink and flashed another 100-watt smile in her direction; he looked back at Ianto who also smiled at her and nodded his head in welcoming.
The boy’s mother seemed to melt and just shook her head before turning back to her son, she started on some rant about how she was sure that man hadn’t done any of what he just said and that he should sit in the front if he can’t be trusted in the back. She then wound the window back up before giving Jack another shy smile.
Ianto pressed the button on his door and watched as Jack sat back in the driver’s seat, “I’m going to have to ban you from using that smile.”
Jack turned back to him and chuckled a bit before asking why.
“Did you see what it did to her; I actually think her brain turned to gloop.” Ianto stated gesturing to the woman who now kept looking back at the car, obliviously trying to see Jack through the window, “Plus it puts my smile down.”
Jack reached out a hand and cupped Ianto’s chin and kissed him lightly on the lips, “you’ve got a gorgeous smile, you just haven’t learnt how to use it yet, when you’ve had over 150 years of practicing it comes naturally.”

“There’s an opening!” Ianto stated, hitching his breathe as Jack made another love bite appear of his neck.
“I bet there is,” Jack chuckled slightly and moved his hand down to Ianto’s trousers undoing the zip a touch before having his hand smacked away.
“I meant in the traffic.” Ianto said, trying to control his breathing, even though every time he filled his lungs he could feel the pheromones flush through his body.
“Oh,” Jack kicked the SUV into gear and turned on the lights and made it through to the hard shoulder where he continued to speed up finally making the SUV back onto land.
A sudden bang came from behind the men, the sedative had worn off the Weevil and it was now punching the sides of the SUV trying to get out.
“Jack, Weevil...” Ianto said turning to the noise emitting from the boot of the SUV
“I know that, Ianto.” Jack barked as he swerved through the cars to the garage next to the Hub.
Once they were parked up, Ianto got out first clutching the mace in one hand, cuffs in the other, “I knew we should of cuffed it.” He shouted to Jack over the SUV.
Jack braced himself and nodded to Ianto before flinging the boot door open, the weevil jumped out, first looking at Jack, then at Ianto who sprayed the mace right in it’s face. The weevil snarled before giving into the mace’s effects, Jack took the cuffs from Ianto and hooked them ‘round the weevil’s arms and began to drag it towards the entrance to the Hub.
Ianto locked up and followed Jack into the cells; he leaned against the doorway watching Jack.
“Eight months,” Ianto stated once the weevil was in the cell and Jack had started walking towards him, “we haven’t been hunting for eight months.”
“Really?” Jack hadn’t realised, time when so quickly for him, it does that, especially when you have all the time in the world, literally.
“Yeah,” Ianto looked down, “I’ve missed it, us.”
Jack wondered to Ianto who was taller than him for once as Ianto stood on the step above the floor of the cells. Jack looked up at Ianto, planting a tender kiss on his lips, “I’ve missed it too.”
Ianto lifted his head up, catching Jack’s gaze. He smiled softly before he began back up the stairs to the main area of the Hub, Jack followed behind him, reaching for his hand as they reached the top.
The Hub was dark apart from the monitors that gave off a blue glow around the work stations and Jack’s attempt of going ‘green’ by only leaving on one of the lamps in his office not all three.
“I should be going then, sir.” Ianto reached for his coat by his work station but a strong hand stopped him from reaching it.
“You don’t have to go yet Ianto. Like you said, we haven’t been together for eight months, and I’m not saying we go hunt another weevil. I’ve missed just us being together, I’m not implying that we do something, just stay for a bit?”
“OK then Jack, just for a while.” He smiled and gave into Jack’s embrace.
