A slight recap of the last two days...

Yesterday was an ok day, nobody showed up at the Triangle Alliance meeting, but I suppose that is in part because of me not putting up fliers, but I would think that all the weekly emails I send out to all the people who have shown some sort of fained interest in the club might do something with a positive outcome, like actually show up at a meeting for a change, but I don't know why I get so damn optimistic about it. After the meeting, I went to the Senate meeting as a favor to Joann because there were a few budget proposals going through the process for approval, and she thought it might be a good idea for an S & A Budget and Finance Committee member to be there. It was an interesting process, and it took an hour longer than Joann said it would. Then I waited somewhat impatiently for my mother to come pick me up three hours late! I had a book to read, so it wasn't all that bad. Went home, got all dressed up, then went to the Everett Symphony. That was a nice change of culture for once. Mostly old people there, but I saw three guys I'm sure were gay but were posing as straight, tsk tsk tsk. Rebecca had asked me to go, and so that was my original reason for going, but as I said before, I'm now glad that I had a slight change of pace/culture in my life. So it was Rebecca, Devon, Gwen and I (not that I really expect any of you to know who these people are), that went to the symphony, partly, I later found out, as part of a birthday present for Devon. Afterwards, we went to Applebees, Devon went to pick up her boyfriend Rob, who is a nice fellow. Spent 3 hours harassing our waiter, which was nice because he was kind of cute and he looked like he needed less stress placed upon his shoulders and something to make him more relaxed. And by harass, I mean tease, just so you know. Robs position as President of the ASB is ending this spring, and apparently he thinks I'm a good candidate, because he offered to give me some inside pointers on what to do if I was interested, and at first I thought he was just kidding, but Rebecca told me later as she was driving me home that Rob wouldn't have offered it if he wasn't positively, absolutely, 100 percent sure that I would do a good job. So now I am thinking about that really seriously. It would certainly look good on my college resume, and it would probably be a good piece of leverage if the Triangle Alliance ever needed it.

Today got off to a really weird, scary start. I woke up about 8:15 to the scariest dream ever. Basically my grandmother was dying, and there was nothing I could do, and she was hugging me and telling me there was nothing I could do, and I was just crying like the crazy, maniacal, sociopathic weirdo that I am in my dreams, and I woke up, and I just couldn't stop crying like the crazy, maniacal, sociopathic weirdo that I am in my waking life. Seriously, I just woke up crying and couldn't stop for 15 minutes. Crazy. Then went to City Deli and Bakery to have breakfast with Leslie so we could start preparing for our math test on Tuesday. Ashley was working, so I got to harass her (remember: harass=tease). Then after having a small epiphany that I actually understood the math that our class was doing, Leslie and I went out to her house in Monroe, and she cleaned and I watched the third Harry Potter movie basically because she said she needed someone to keep her company while she worked. She started making this delicious smelling apple dessert thing, and then came to the realization that she had to get me home before her other company arrived, so no apple dessert for me. That was a few hours ago, and now here I am, just having finished watching Interview with a Vampire. An interesting movie. My day is finally coming to an end, thankfully!

triangle alliance, bad dreams, meetings, budget and finance committee, friends, culture awareness
