It's been a really really good last 2 weeks or so. Having had a few up and down periods this month, it's been really nice.

Went to Sin City at the Electric Ballroom in Camden last Friday night. It was seriously one of the best ever nights we've been there. Ther was only a few of us this time (myself, Adrian, Andy, Jim and newbie wimm drummer Alex) and we took over a little seated section - notable because we NEVER sit at Sin City. But we warmed up with snakebites and listening to the tunes played. Once on the dancefloor, I didn't get off - tune after tune after tune. It was fantastic. I must have been on there for a good few hours until an unforunate accident later.

As an early birthday present, Adrian bought me a proper pair of platform goth boots with a 5 inch high heel about 2 months ago. This was the first time I had the chance to wear it to a club and to be fair, I did last a fair few hours in them - four and half to be exact. But, dancing was a problem because I wasn't used to them. So, I take them off and put on flats instead. Happy as larry and dancing away BUT another girl wearing platforms accidentally jumps on my right foot nearly fracturing it (which I didn't know until later).

Found that quite funny at the time and I wasn't going to let it ruin my night (because it was so good that it couldn't). The girl was really apologetic and fussed over me for abit, helping me off the floor and then getting some ice for it. Still, tried to limp on the bus but it was too painful so we got a cab home and ended up spending four and half hours in a&e whilst I see the doc and get an x-ray.

A week later and I'm fine now (thank goodness).

This week has been pretty fantastic too. Spent some time with my parents and they've bought me a snazzy suit for graduation from Banana Republic. Also got an extra ticket so my parents AND Adrian will be there - result! Can't wait.

Saw The Offspring on tuesday and whilst my foot was a wee bit sore still, had a great time. They are a great live band and the gig itself was fun. Won't write too much on here as my review is being published in next month's The Independent Voice. Woop!
THEN saw Deftones last night. What can i say? They were far better than I thought - and I thought they'd be good. They were a-m-a-z-i-n-g. It being their reading/leeds warm up gig they did a staggering set of 23 songs. Most of them were from White Pony which didn't disappoint as it's one of my fav albums and then a fair mix from the others. We were pretty close to the front so at first we were in the mosh pit but gradually got pushed back. Still, we were near the front so had a great view. I didn't stay still for a minute and by the time they did 7 Words as their finale, I was jumping up and down and air fisting. They played all the songs I wanted them too, but then realised after that it would have been great to hear bored live - but i'm not complaining. It was electric!
