Supposedly, that's Rachel Weisz (Evanora) all under the makeup and fake nose and chin. We'll see if that's right. Not really sure what makes her go from "normal" to green, but I'm sure that'll be explained. Here's my take on the design:
DO YOU SEE THE RING? the ring on her left hand, MIDDLE FINGER? Usually that implies a same sex relationship. Combined with the certain... emphasis on 'sister' in the second trailer (about 1:07), I'M SHIPPING Evanora/Theodora.
DO IT SAM RAIMI. I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER! no wait. I already love you forever. except Spiderman 3. MAKE IT SO 'SISTER' IS A EUPHEMISM!
the other thing that sounds awkward no I haven't watched this enough. shut up. i can hear you laughing at me. is Theodora's introduction. I don't think "I'm Theodora, the Good Witch" is all one line. It sounds awfully manufactured to me. SO. I think Evanora is trying to take over Oz, Theodora is her girlfriend and they are the Head Bitches in Charge.
Except Theodora is in red, which suggests shes the Good Witch of the South. Who is Glinda. But movie!Glinda is all white and blue. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?!? WHAT CANON ARE WE USING? AND WHY ARE YOU CONTRADICTING THINGS. BE MARCH ALREADY, KAY THNXS.
Other exciting things: Oscar Oz pulling a Scrooge McDuck and swimming in his pile of gold. Talking flying monkey! who isn't blue. *cry* CHINA DOLL! MUNCHKINS WITH FLOWERY RIFLES!
In other news, my film teacher emailed me and said my WOZ paper was AWESOME! capslock is hers :D (she's very hip. she introduced the class to vimeo not me. but I spend to much time online. we had to present a favorite film found on youtube/vimeo/whatever. I wanted to present 's
greensilver's The Adventure, but decided against it, because the vid is password protected, and I thought it would be too complicated. So I showed The Piano Guys' What Makes You Beautiful (5 Piano Guys, 1 piano). Which is a One Direction cover, so some of classmates were like 'GTFO' and some were 'YAYS!!!1!' Teacher got EXCITED about the film work :P ugh, that class rocked. If this were some 5 years ago, I'd be switching my major to film studies.)
While I'm talking about papers, I've come to the conclusion that I write to much meta online. Because when I was writing my papers this semester, I was totally trying to create text links and strike irrelevant things out, instead of, you know CITING SOURCES.
