Staining, literally
So, we need to make a cane for Von Rothbart's costume. I decided that I wanted a certain tone to the wood. So we have been staining the dowel by packing it in hot coffee grounds. French Roast. What else is it good for? I'm very happy with the color.
Speaking of very happy, I got both swan costumes done (pics will come when light is better for taking pics), and I am very, very happy with them. I decided to just cover the black soles of my white boots with cloth tape rather than make Yuuki slippers. Despite the fact that I have managed to get his esthetics done, it's a pain in the butt to try to get the boys standing in that much costume. So, boots instead of slippers.
All in all, a successful day.
