Happy 4th of July!...

My work is finished, and it was surprisingly fast and painless! I'm now $150+ richer for about 4-5 hours of my time each day.

Passing out samples is pretty easy. First we were in Jones Beach, a sort of high-class beach, and most people were willing. But we eventually got kicked out the first day for not having a permit (it's in a state park). Why we didn't have a permit on us, I'm not sure. It led us to believe Ambient Planet was just winging this job, and it left us with an unfinished quota for the day. We tried moving to a near-by ritzy mall, which proved even more unsuccessful. Moving locations was best.

So for Sunday and Monday we moved to Coney Island. Which was not only cheaper on my gas (it's 10 minutes down the road) but incredibly easier. Being most low-income/immigrant familes are there, the overall reception was amazing (to the point of families getting angry if I didn't see them). Nothing like being pulled in 5 directions for two .25 oz packets of lotion. We were easily cutting into the lost quota from Saturday, Sunday's, and even a good portion of Monday's. All of our shifts were about 4 hours, but our supervisor was gracious enough to pay us the full 6-7 hours. Ooh yeah. Now have plenty of money for Otakon!

My only complaint is I have a slight farmer's tan even after 30 SPF.

I also went into the Urban Outfitters in the rich-mall and thought of my friends after seeing the drinking game I'd like to buy for them so much, where are youuu?

Henry and I are going to attempt to watch the Macy's 4th of July fireworks, though the crowds may prove otherwise. Hope everyone is having a good night too!
