100 themes writing challenge 006: Obsesssion
this is super cute...lol well at least i think so XD i love kids. heheh comments are loved!
“sensei, sensei!” said Yori running towards her preschool teacher. “ohayo sensei! Ogenki desu ka?” she grinned at her teacher. Sho who was her teacher came down to her level and smiled. “oh ohayo yori-chan. Genki desu. Are you ready to learn today?” Yori nodded excited. “un! I can’t wait to see what sensei has to teach us today.” Sho laughed. “that’s good! go inside with your friends and wait for me okay?” “hai sensei.” Said yori. She hurried inside to her cubby. It had her name on it with stars all around. She put her jacket and back pack in her cubby and went to go seated at her table.
There was 4 children at her table including her. 2 boys and 2 girls. The two boys sat across from them. her best friend sat with her. Her name was mizumi. The boys who sat with them was masaki and satoshi. Satoshi was always sleeping while masaki was always playing with cooking toys whether at the desk or at the play area. satoshi was already there dazed as if wanting to fall asleep again. “satoshi-kun…ohayou gozaimasu….satoshi kun?” she tilted her head to the side wondering if she should go get sensei or not. Just then a girl came by and kissed satoshi on the cheek. Satoshi quickly snapped from his dazed look and frantically panic.
“aaahh eww akira, why did you kiss me?” he wiped away the side where she kissed him. “now I have girl cooties on me.” akira laughed. “it’s okay satoshi-kun! When we get older, we’ll marry and I’ll get to kiss you all I want!” she gleamed at the future dream where as yori was only confused. Then masaki came up to her with something behind his back. “ano…yori-chan..i have something for you. Okaa-san said since I couldn’t come to your birthday party, I should still give you your present anways.” He pulled out a rectangular box in front of her. “otanjoubi omedetou!” Yori smiled happily as she grabbed the box shaped present. “arigatou maa-kun!” masaki blushed a little and nodded.
Yori opened the box to reveal the many books that she always wanted but her mother didn’t have time to go buy since they didn’t have much money. She became starry eyed and excited. “maa-kun! This is what I wanted! Thank you!!” she hugged him and went directly to reading it. it was full of pictures, animals, colors and all sorts. She began reading them at once but was disrupted when sakurai sensei came in to start class.
Throughout the day, and during lessons,she would try to read the books maa-kun had got her, but was caught every time. “yori-chan, put those books away until recess time or free time. I don’t want to see them during lessons.” “hai sensei.” Said Yori. she put them away, but not entirely. Her fingers itched to open the wonderful books. Okaa-san had always said that if she read and studied a lot, and get a good job to make a lot of money, they can go live in a castle so big that all her friends can come over and play. She waited patiently until recess came. She stayed inside reading those books while the other kids played outside.
