World of Wars ch 6
Rin, Akira, Mizumi, Ohno and Aiba waited. Either she couldn’t find it, or something happened. Mizumi hissed at the pain and looked at her hand. Nail marks appeared where she was clenching her fist. Small amounts of blood oozed out. But she pushed the thought of pain away and kept her eye on the figures floating in midair. “8 minutes left.” Said rin “damn it noriko. Hurry up!” said yori getting worked up. The palms of her hands were sweaty and nervous at the fact that something might go wrong. Aiba and Ohno were silent. Ohno clung onto Aiba scared. Aiba did the same thing. He can sense that Ohno had the same fear as he does. If sho doesn’t survive, Arashi would be no more and true hell would break loose. (a/n: pffftt lol XDD)
Noriko stared at the God before her. Suddenly a name clicked into her mind. “Apollo..” she whispered. He smiled at her. “I’ll let Zeus know. Most likely if he is to stop hades we’ll join you. Until then..” he stepped away from the lock. “go ahead and awaken Solaris. Once he awakens, give him this” noriko saw the item he had and smiled glad to see it. “to control his aura” she said. The item was a necklace with the sun shaped in metal at the end. It gleamed bright orange like the pulsating sun itself. “it’s beautiful..” she turned to look and he was gone.
Noriko sighed. “well let’s get down to business” she moved her tense back muscles bracing herself to enter. She placed her hand on the lock watching it dissolve like snow. Giant doors swung open wide and she entered. Inside was a home. A comfty home. She was in the living room of sho’s mind. She saw the fire place crackle that was the only light source in the room. She walked over to the fireplace. The light had revealed a chair made of leather. She heard a faint snore as she silently walked over. It was Sho fast asleep. She laughed. he slept soundly slumped. He was dressed in a nice dress shirt with grey vest on top. His hair a bit ruffled.
In her hand was the necklaces. She let it dangle from her hand and put it lightly into his. At the touch a bright orange glow extruded from his body. Suddenly he took in a deep breath opening his eyes. He slowly got out of his chair seeing noriko by his side. she was smiling with happiness. She has done it. At the corner of her eye a vortex like portal started to form sucking her into darkness. The moment she opened her eyes, Aiba had her in his arms. “noriko are you alright?” She couldn’t move her body at all. She was tired. Very tired. “you had 3 minutes remaining” said Rin towering over her smiling. “good job.”
“Where is he?” said Noriko. She turned her head to her side to see sho. His head was in mizumi’s lap while ohno and yori surrounded him making sure he was alright. Akira came running down the steps with a glass of water for noriko. “congrats you did it!” she said smiling. Aiba helped her sit up while she took the glass and drank all of the water in one take. “is he okay?” Noriko overheard ohno saying.
Mizumi looked at sho in her lap. He was breathing soundly. She nodded. “he’s fine.” She noticed sho clutching something in her hand. She opened it to see a necklace with the shape of the sun. “powerlock” she whispered. Yori gave the same calm expression mizumi had. She then took out hers. It was also a necklace of small metal feather. Mizumi took out hers as well. It was the shape of the moon. Ohno blinked a few times. “eh? What about me?” “check.” Said mizumi smiling. Ohno felt around himself and found something on his chest he didn’t notice. He took it out. It was a fish. He smiled happily. “eh..but what are these for? And does everyone have one?” yori nodded. “it’s a gift from your father or mother so that your powers don’t go out of control. But once you gain full control you won’t need it anymore of course. Some of us just wear it still because we may not be there to full control yet or we just wear it for fun.” Ohno nodded his head.
“how is he?” said noriko staring at them. she met eyes with mizumi. “he’s fine. Congrats on making it back.” Mizumi flashed a warm smile which made noriko happy and relieved. Mizumi stared at sho again fast asleep. “he needs his rest.” Said noriko getting up with the help of akira and Rin. “and so do you.” Said aiba concerned “let’s take you back to your room. Ohno, yori, and mizumi can take care of sho to his. but I’ll come back and help okay?” Yori nodded.
Akira and Rin got noriko into bed. “there you go. Get lots of rest okay?” said akira sweetly. “I’ll have mizu-chan make you something hearty to eat in the morning. You must be famished!” noriko laughed. “thank you Akira.” akira gave a cute salute and left along with Rin. She then fell fast asleep.
They got sho to his room and tucked him in. on the way, they slipped his powerlock around his neck. “rawwrr why is he so heavy?!” said phi whining in whispers. Mizumi hit her. “at least we didn’t carry him to the bedroom. You and I just helped him on the bed.” Yori pouted. “yeah yeah whatever.” Aiba giggled leaving the room. Yori frowned and went after him. Aiba turned back around quickly catching yori off guard like a kid. “why are you following me?” Yori back up and flashed a cheeky smile. “because I want to” she smiled again making aiba laugh. “you’re such a kid sometimes.” Yori laughed a bit. “is that so?” “yes and you’re pretty reckless like that time you came to my apartment with those winged shoes flying all over the place like a fairy of some sort.”
Yori frowned and punched him. aiba yelped in pain. “don’t call me a fairy!” she said raising her voice a bit. “eeh?! I said LIKE a fairy…geez…” Ohno and mizumi came out. Mizumi frowned at the two. They sheepishly bowed their head lightly in apology. Aiba came over to ohno. “come on ohchan you can stay at my apartment. We’ll come back later on today.” Ohno nodded and bid farewell to the girls. Yori walked up next to mizumi. “aiba…he’s such a kid himself. Hmph…calling me a kid.” Mizumi giggled. “you let him ruffle your feathers huh? Do you like him?” she said pushing the question. “WHAT?! No!” she laughed a bit. “you’re crazy mizumi. Why would I fall for an idiot like him?” mizumi shrugged. “I don’t know…you’re an idiot yourself actually.” She said bluntly.
Yori was about to say something but bit her tongue. Mizumi sent a grin at her. She knew she was right. “you win this round mizumi. But I’ll get you next time.” Mizumi giggled. Walking back to their rooms, yori brought up a serious topic. “so…now that noriko achieved..what do you think now?” mizumi didn’t want to answer but answered anyways. “I won’t forgive her for killing my sister, but seeing her achievement today proved to me that she has improved. My faith in her grew a little. As long as she keeps it up, who knows…maybe I’ll forgive her someday.” She stopped looking up at the hallway ceiling. Then back to Yori. “let’s go to sleep. I’m tired. It’s been a long night.”
Akira and Rin sat in the kitchen drinking cups of hot chocolates. It always helped Rin calm down. Akira looked at her best friend concerned. “are you still worried?” Rin glanced at her and nodded. “a bit. But…” she took a drink of her hot chocolate. “but as the daughter of Athena, I’ll be fine.” She flashed a smile at akira. akira smiled back placing a hand on hers. “I’ll be there to help you. Besides I owe you my life for saving me back then.” Rin’s eyes grew wide remembering. “NONSENSE! You repaid that when I saved you from Aiba’s power wrath!” akira laughed. “I’ll be fine. But I know even if I say that you’ll always be at my side not matter what.” Rin smiled at her best friend.
2 days later at the club
“mou Akira why do I have to come here again?” rin sat at the bar with her friend. “because I want to be with you every single moment that’s why.” Said akira. Rin made a frowning face. “I can protect myself you know.” Akria winked. “yeah, but with Jun running around for ya, I can’t take that risk. You and I both know you have a thing for him ever since you found out about Arashi.” Rin blushed a bit…”DO NOT!...well..I don’t know if I do anymore now that I know he’s the bad guy.” Akira stared at her friend while mixing drinks. “here” she slid a drink towards her friend. “this will relax you.” Rin smiled. “thanks.” She drank the drink Akira made her. She instantly relaxed feeling better. “oh I’ll be back. Restroom.” Akira nodded. “becareful.” She said yelling back over the music. Rin waved her hand motioning that she knew to be careful.
While rin was gone to the restroom, a figure came to sit down in front of her which caught her eye. She smiled. “well well well what have we here.” A male figure smiled at her though it looked more like a smirk. “this will be fun.” Said akira biting her lips. “welcome Ninomiya Kazunari..i didn’t know you come here.” Nino smiled revealing his perfect set of teeths. “well it’s my first time. Do you recommend anything for me?” Akira felt her skin tingle and smiled revealing her set of dentures. “how about….”
Rin got out of the women’s restroom. She then caught eye of a figure coming towards her. It was jun. she instantly reacted by trying to avoide him but it was no use. “damn…I thought I was careful..” she muttered to herself. Jun came up to her smiling. “we meet again. How are you?” Rin sent a disgusted look. “I know you’re after me. and I’ll let you know right now I won’t let you catch me.” Jun looked surprised. “ah so you know but you’re wrong. I’m here to warn you actually and tell you the truth.” Rin was on guard. She was ready to act incase any act of physical contact was executed. She saw him look around. “can we talk in private? I promise I wont do anything.” He smiled. “you’re too smart for me anyways.” Rin lowered her guard for a bit being taken back by the comment. She nodded and they both left to a vip room in the club.
Nino was sitting across from her ordering his drink. “oh wait I know what to order now” he said disrupting her. “how about a tall glass of you?” he winked at her. Akira laughed. “sorry but I’m not your type.” Nino chuckled. “oh but you are. How much?” Akira turned to him smiling. “seriously what do you take me for?” her tone was dangerous. Nino can feel it emanating off of her. Though her figure was attractive to him. he gulped looking up and down her body. ‘damn you jun..hurry up.’ Said nino.
Rin sat down in the VIP room tensed. She wouidln’t be able to relax. Jun saw her and chuckled. “relax even if I tried, you’ll probably win against me anways. You are athena’s daughter.” Rin glared at him “and? You are the son of hades.” “which is why I need your help.” He said in almost in a helpless voice. Rin looked at him confused. “explain yourself” said rin preparing to use her aura to form a sword. Jun looked at her and got down to his knees. “please..i don’t want to be attached to him anymore. I need your help and release me from him.” she looked in his eyes. For a minute she thought he was telling the truth. “why do you need my help?” said Rin cautiously. “because of this.” Jun removed his shirt revealing his back. It was built and tan. In the middle of his back was a tattoo. It was a shape of a black skull. Rin was tempted to touch it but held back.
“what is that?” she asked. Jun put his shirt back on and turned back to her. “the mark which binds me to the underworld. It can only be removed by a warrior who has a pure heart which is you. As daughter of Athena you are one of most fierce yet pure hearted demigod I’ve seen in my lifetime.” Rin felt sympathy for him, but kept her guard. “and if I do agree with you how will I get that mark off of your back?” Jun smiled. “I’ll tell you why my father is after you. The full plan and everything and a way to defeat hades. You don’t want another war of the Gods do you? It’ll cause destruction on earth.” Rin thought for a moment considering the choices. He didn’t seem to be lying, though hey may be a good liar. But Rin was usually 99.9% correct about making judgments. “i….”
Akira pulled nino by his collar close to her face. “listen you brat. Don’t you mess with me you hear?” she smelled him. his scent smelled familiear. “you have the stench of hades on you…oh no…” she grew angry. “where is she!?” growled akira. Nino made a scared face, “I…I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Akira pulled him closer making a dagger with her aura. “don’t lie to me or I’ll scar that pretty face of yours and you won’t be showing up on tv for weeks.” Nino smirked “even so..your friend is probably gone by now.” Akira gritted her teeth. “oh please…rin is not that easy to beat.” She let him go so she woudn’t make a scene. Nino fixed himself and spoke in the language of the gods only they knew. “don’t underestimate Jun either.”
Akira widened her eyes and ran to the restroom trying to sense rin. She wasn’t in there. She followed the stench of the underworld to a VIP room. She opened the room to see the two standing looking at each other. She glanced at jun and sent a ball of red aura knocking jun down. She quickly grabbed rin’s arm. “comeon we have to get out of here.” Rin allowed herself to be dragged. “wait!” she said but it was no use. Jun lied on the floor groaning in pain just staring at her as she left with the same eyes. “trust me please!” said jun holding her hands she remembered just before Akira barged in. ‘I trust you’ she said to herself.
