Uso...
No way....
No way...!!
This can't be! ;___;
As if Himi wasn't enough...now Asari too!!??
So I pick up this issue of Dear+ so excited to be able to see an arc about Shoui x Asari start up again but wow I never expected to cry so hard in this first chapter of the arc. Really, my lips tremble thinking about what happened.
So you know that red thread that fell off the one that was the "horobi ga kuru made hazurenai" thread. Well, if you remember it DID come off. But sweet Shoui had a surprise for Asari. He bought Asari a platinum ring with a red line that runs through the middle of it. The ring is meant to replace the thread and he tells Asari the kotodama the one thing he couldn't say before.."Aishiteru." Of course, Asari tells Shoui he should tell him that when he's sober...since Shoui did have a bit much to drink. Anyhow the two get into the mood and have their beautiful little H scene.
At this point I'm so happy for the couple...I love seeing them together..but little did I know this was just a setup. A setup for more 切なさ。
Asari gets up in the middle of the night and looks out at the snowy night sky. He looks at the ring on his finger and remembers the serious kotodama that was used to tie on the red cotton thread he had casually tied on as a joke that day many years ago. He starts to examine the ring and takes it off and looks at the inside thinking how he'll laugh if it says something cheesy like I LOVE YOU. But little did Asari know..that the engravement would say something more moving than he could've ever imagined.
The inside of the ring read "Nise no chigiri wo chikau." Nise no chigiri is a marriage vow. It means "I vow that even if I die, furthermore, I won't change my mind. And vow to be with you even until the next world." The impression on Asari's face as he thinks of how deep the words are is priceless. He wonders what kind of face Shoui made when he ordered the engravement. He looks over to Shoui and jokingly calls him a real idiot. But then he says "But, there's nothing more happier than this." As he says this you see what look like sakura petals around Asari.
Asari doesn't even realize it at first, but he's crying. He only notices that he's crying when a tear falls on his hand. He wonders what it is at first but then realizes it's tears. He can't believe it and remembers that kami return to blank paper when they cry and he remembers about the white flower like snow of paper that flies when one returns.
Asari knows what's happening to him but doesn't want it to happen. "NOOOO...!" He exclaims. He doesn't want to go. He doesn't want to leave Shoui behind. He runs to the bed where Shoui is lying asleep. He disappears before being able to say anything or touch Shoui. The last thing he says to himself is Shoui's name. Shoui wakes up to a room full of white flower like petals of paper. "....Asari?" he asks. Then he finds the ring and a ragged paper doll on the bed. it takes Shoui a second to realize what they are. He calls for Asari again but no answer...
--end of chapter--
So what's gonna happen now??? Will Asari end up like Himi? Will he be revived only to have lossed every memory of Shoui?? Oh man, could I love another Asari as much as this Asari?? Or will there be a twist? Will there be some way for Shoui to get back the Asari he lossed memories included?? Oh the DRAMAAAAAAAA!!!! I want more ZE!
Why Shimizu-sensei? Why did you leave us with this cliffhanger?? I cried so hard.
And this month she's taking a break so no Ze. ;__;
