Now I Know How A Wet Cat Feels
Grandma and I picked up The Gnome from Poppy at 0130 and then we picked up some Dunkin Dounuts. We headed back to grandma's house where Gaerfie and Katydid were waiting. Both Gaerfie and I took a much needed nap and the kids watched Halloween shows with Grandma and ate pizza. Around 1730 Mitsuki and C4 arrived. The Gnome put up a fight getting into his costume, but katydid couldn't wait. We finally all got on the road and it started to rain. *blarg*
We hit a decent amount of houses, but many were dark. Not a lot of kids out either. Katydid fell asleep before we even hit the first house. The Gnome properly said trick-or-treat this year. He was very well behaved. We hit our usual haunts, but slim pickings. The only good thing was that on the way back people pushed candy on us, because they had so much! The Gnome got tired so I hit the houses for both kids for a bit. We wanted to go see Bubbie, but it started to rain really hard and we were getting soaked!
We got back to Grandma's and the kids dove into the candy! C4 was nice and carried his sister back to Grandma's so I awarded him with a drink and dry socks! ;P
We brought The Gnome back to Poppy's and then Katydid and I headed home while Gaerfie stayed to help Nuncle in the morning with computer repair. I stopped at 7-Eleven for a slurpee and hotdog and picked up a coffee for my Mom. I'd say it was a good night even though we all got dreanched.
